Where:
used in asking for a place. Example: Where is my pen? it is on the disk. -
What:
used in asking for a thing properties and jobs. Example: What is your job? My job is teaching. Another example: What is the color of an apple? Apples are red. -
How:
to ask for the way to do a thing mostly. Example: How can I make a cake? it is also used to ask for age. Example: How old are you? I am 14 years old. -
How far:
to ask for the distance. Example: How far is the supermarket from here? About 2 kilometers. -
How long:
to ask for the taken time or length of an object. Example: How long does this cake need to bake? About 40 minutes. Another example: How long is your bed? -
How much:
to ask for things costs and uncountable quantities. Example: How much does this pen cost? 100 Sudanese pounds. Another example: how much water is in the cup? what files half of the cup. -
How many:
used to ask for countable quantities. Example: How many books are in your bag? I have 4 books. -
Who:
used to ask for the subject/person. Example: Who ate my cake? Sorry, I did. -
Whom:
used to ask for the object. Example: Whom was hurt by the accident? Hopefully, No one was hurt. -
Whose:
used to ask for the owner of something. Example: Whose book is this? It mine. Another Example: whose pen is this? it is my friend's pen -
Which:
used to ask for selection / let some choose. Example: Which color is your favorite? it's red. Another example: in which class do you study? -
When:
used to ask for time. Example: When do you sleep? 7PM. -
are/is /am/was/were/can/would:
they are used to ask if something is true or not. Example: are you fine? yes, I am. Another example: would you let me have a bite of your salad?
note they are named like that because most of them start with `Wh`.
